Advertising our blog...

OK, OK... I am posting a new blog!!! I have been reluctant to post because I cannot access this site at work and by the time I get home I am so ready to NOT be at the computer for the rest of my day. But, I know that there is no point in having a blog if I never write on it! I will really try a lot harder to post more. This is a really exciting time in Kyle and my life and I want you all to be apart of it and experience all the wonderful things that are happening to us more regularly.

So here is a quick update on how our baby girl is doing. I am 25 weeks this week and doing great. The baby is moving a lot these days. This week was the first week that I can feel her move both above and below my belly button at the same time. We are beginning to make lots of major decisions like, what to do about work, baby names, colors for the nursery, and so many more. It is strange how really EVERYTHING in your life gets questioned when a child comes into it.

As for the other things happening in our life, yes I know it really does seem like it is all baby these days, we have joined a small group at our church. It is a multi-generational group that meets on Wednesday nights and it is close to our house. We went for the first time last week and really enjoyed it! It feels really good to be involved and to start meeting people.

We are really enjoying our church as well. If you would like to check out our pastor (he is amazing) you can podcast his sermons by going to this site: http://www.thevillagechurch.net/resources/listen.html.

Kyle is in training for his new position at the bank and although it is boring, he really is enjoying it. But, only two more weeks and he will be done with training and be a full-time personal banker. His school is also going really good. Although because of scheduling this semester he was only able to take one class, he is liking it a lot and learning a lot about the Jewish people.

OK, I hope that is a good enough update for now. I will really try to write more often. (Maybe 'someone' would advertise my blog because I think there really are only 3 people who even know it exists). :) Just kidding.

Listening to worshp music

Today was a semi relaxing day. I was able to work from home and therefore got more rest then usual and did not have to put in my normal 2 hours in the car... sweet. This evening we went to Tal's for dinner... ummm... calzones! Kyle was helping Tal with some 'banker' talk so the baby and I chilled on the bed while she listened to some praise and worship... what a life. :)

The 'man' of the house

I really don't think Toby has any clue how his life is going change in just a few months. Since December he has been the 'man' of the house. Yes, we try VERY HARD to discipline him... but he usually get what he wants, especially when Kyle is not around. I am hoping and praying that the closer we get to his 1 year birthday in October that he will start to listen more and be a little calmer.

If he is still as crazy as he is when the baby comes, his life will change very quickly and I don't think he will like it. Lets just say he will have to learn how to enjoy the backyard by himself.

I must say that there are days that he is a great puppy. He listens all day and is very calm. And still there are other days that he is just plain wild. Although, this week he has been really great. He even learned a new trick. When I give him a treat I leave it on top of his paw and he is not allowed to eat it until I say. He got that one down really fast... maybe it's a sign, he really is a smart, obedient puppy.

Sorry, time has not been on my side...

To our thousands of readers out there (all 3 of you) sorry for taking so long in between posts. The last few weeks have been crazy busy at work and then by the time I get home the last thing I want to do is get on the computer. And Kyle, on the other hand, has begun his 'Fantasy Football' league addiction and you'll be lucky if you see him blog any more after the season starts. Example, tonight he does not feel well, I think he might be coming down with a cold, and has been complaining all day about being tired, but when we got home - 10 mins ago, I asked him if he would be going to bed with me since he did not feel well...

His response, "nope I just need to update my football leagues real quick, so can you hurry up on the computer."

I said to him, "well at least I know where I rank."

He said, "yeah, it's a good thing we're clear on that."

So, if I rank that low on the totem pole, I think it is safe to say that the blog does not even make the list for him.

Any how, all is well with the baby. She is kicking and moving all over the place. I will post a 'weekly' picture this weekend.

19 weeks and feeling great. Our baby girl is moving all over the place! I love feeling her move and the fact that Kyle can feel her kick is really cool. I also LOVE knowing that she is a girl. Being able to refer to the baby as 'her' rather than 'it' is much nicer! Now I am looking at nursery ideas and having fun shopping for a little girl. I know Kyle will make a wonderful dad to a girl, he is already such a great husband and big brother that having a little girl fits him just right.

We went to our doctors appointment yesterday and found out we are having a little girl! The funniest part was that she would not let us see if she was a boy or a girl at first. She was sitting just right, but as soon as we went to look she slipped her hands between her legs. Either she is already taking after her dad and is even honory in the womb or she is just super modest. Either way it was pretty comical because she did it twice and then the third time she let us take a peak. :) We are so excited and it really is nice to know. Everything else looked great on the sonogram and we are set to have our healthy baby girl on January 1st (hopefully a few days early).

Movement!!!!

Here I am 18 weeks prego and I can feel my little baby move inside me! It is the coolest and strangest feeling in the whole word! So far, it's been little movements, nothing that Kyle can feel, but I know (s)he is there and kicking! For that past several days it has been happening at about 10am, right after lunch and again in the evenings. It is very cool.

Our next doctors appointment is August 7th and that is when we have our sonogram. I have let Kyle decide if we are going to find out the sex or not and he is having a very hard time deciding... what are you opinions, should we find out the sex of our baby?

Today out of no where it began raining like cats and dogs. Rain is defiantly not an unusual thing here in Dallas, we have had well over our annual average and it still keeps coming. But the last four or five days have been beautiful, no rain at all. This morning looked like it would be the same kind of sunny day. We woke up and went to church, ate lunch at our favorite restaurant Weck's, went to Costco and then hung out at Tal's apartment. That is when the heaven's opened up and let loose.

I'm feeling great. Still have not felt the baby move... I am very anxious for that moment. But, otherwise I'm doing great.

Feeling more FAT than Pregnant at this point!

So the last few days I defiantly feel more fat than pregnant! I just can't seem to eat enough. I eat on my way to work, a mid morning snack, a snack before lunch, something sweet after lunch, a snack before I leave work, something on my long drive home and finally dinner (and something right before bed). And yet, I still don't feel full!!! Scary! When I went to my last appointment, two weeks ago, I had only gained 2 lbs since finding out. But, I bed when I go back the first week in August that I will have at least doubled that! My doctors only advice was, "it's OK to eat ice cream, just don't eat the whole thing." Is it OK to eat the whole thing within two days? :)

There will be no sleeping in the waiting room...

What a great dad! He has made it every appointment so far, even if he does fall asleep in the waiting room! His attitude twords everything has changed, for the better. He now helps around the house without me asking, he doesn't complain when I go to bed at 9pm, he takes care of the kitty litter (which he swore he would NEVER do), and he is so sweet to me these days.

I think the idea of becoming a dad is really exciting for him and you can see it all over his face. I thank that Lord for blessing me with such a wonderful husband and best friend! We are having so much fun talking about our new baby and all of the changes that are happening in our lives now and forever after.

Hello Baby!!!

Look at that baby... it's just popping out to say hello! Still can't feel any movement yet, I don't think anyway, although they say it feels a little like gas at first and that I have felt for sure so you never know! :)

This is exactly how I view our lives. I get to live everyday in a magical love that captures my heart and my imagination. The months to come are going to be so special. Our baby is almost to the point where we can tell what the sex of our baby is. While this is a huge decision to make, we don't know what we are going to do, and are unsure of several other things. One thing that I know I am excited about is being able to feel the baby move inside that growing belly. This is my princess, and this is also my prize!!! Just thought I would share that with all of you!!!

Vacationing, Work, and House Problems

It is amazing at how quickly our lives change from day to day. Our vacation was absolutely amazing...thanks mom and dad!!! I went from feeling like a little kid at Disney...as you can see by some of the pictures, to relaxing on the beach. and kayaking around a bay. Everything seems so surreal when you are on vacation. Then it was almost immediately back to the real world and work. Then all of the sudden I had two days off for the 4th of July and got to enjoy that. Well Sherah and I decided to get ready for the nursery and moved our bedroom into our office...we will shift the rest of our rooms and make a nursery. During that process we found a leak under the bottom of our house...good news is that we are pretty sure that it is rainwater and not a plumbing leak. That shows you just how much rain we are getting. So now there is work to be done to get that problem corrected because the land right at the foundation of our house needs to be graded to get the rain to go somewhere other than underneath our house. During all of this I had to stop and think tonight about how much my child is changing everyday. While I am here worrying about the cosmetics of my house, my Heavenly Father is concerned about the foundation of my child. There are so many amazing thing that are happening to our little one every day!! Thank you Lord for shaping and molding our lives, and giving us the blessing of life. As for all of the other stuff...I guess I must learn to take care of my household and my house, so that my family can live and go through everyday.
