Zoo Day

A couple of weeks ago we ventured to the zoo with some great friends of ours. It was a lot of fun as you can see by the pictures, they even got to feed a giraffe!!! I love this life that the Lord has richly blessed me with!

McKinney Ave Street Cars

Ryland's Grammy and Paparino (Pop-Pop-Pop-Papa-Rino as he calls himself, and Ryland smiles EVERY time) came into town for a short weekend trip. Sunday we went on the McKinney Street Cars, free and so much fun, ate at a great Tex-Mex restaurant in Uptown and then had to-die-for Italian Gelato. What a great day and Ryland couldn't have been more perfect! I love you mom and dad... come again soon!

Happy Birthday My Love!

Can you believe you are 25 years old today! I just wanted to tell you that I love you with every fiber of my being! You are such a wonderful husband and a great father, I am so blessed! Thank you for choosing me to share every moment of your life with! I love being your biggest fan and best friend. I never knew that my love for you could grow this deep, but it has and now I know it will continue to grow even deeper. This thing called marriage is such a beautiful gift that the Lord has created and given us the opportunity to see just a glimmer of how much He loves us. You are my soul mate, my lover, my husband, my best friend, my everything! I love you, happy birthday!

Grill-sations

My Mom and Dad bought Kyle and I a grill for our birthdays this coming week! While they were here last week my Dad installed a poll to chain it to so that it can sit right outside my kitchen door. We have three doors in the house, front, back and side. Currently the dog spends a lot of time in the back yard so grilling out there is not an option for me. The front poor is just too ghetto to have a grill on (in the city, anyway) and so there leaves the side door with a pad of concrete literally just big enough for the grill to sit.

OK, really long way of telling you my grill is close to the kitchen and therefore I have taken up grilling. Since my parents left, Friday, we have grilled every night. I went to Costco today and filled our fridge with all different types of meat to grill, because it is so fast, easy and quick clean up! I am in love with our new grill!!!

Tonight's dinner: Grilled pork briskets, grilled asparagus and fresh sliced tomatoes (yes, that is mayo next to my tomatoes... don't knock it till you've tried it!). What the heck were we thinking living without a grill for 5 years!?! Thanks Mom and Dad!
